Did you know that the Arabian horse dates back over 4000 years or the oldest breed registry in the United States belongs to the American Saddlebred? That the Morgan horse is a true American icon? If not, here is your chance to learn more about these beautiful animals.

The Bristol County Horsemen’s Association and several local businesses have joined together to showcase the various breeds of Rehoboth in a way folks can enjoy and help the town at the same time. A Horse Exposition is planned at Hobby Horse Farm, 23 Bay State Road; near the corner of routes 118 and 44 in Rehoboth for August 15th. Several breeds in all sizes and colors will strut their stuff in the indoor area and will be available for viewing throughout the day. There will be many other attractions including pony rides, carriage rides, seminars and vendors selling various items of interest. Chainsaw artist, Michael Higgins has donated one of his masterpieces the will be raffled off at the event.

Bring your family and enjoy the day on August 15. Hobby Horse Farm, owned by Doug and Rita Dent, is a beautiful 100 acre farm with a long history in Rehoboth. It is the home of the Dartmouth Equestrian Team.
The proceeds of the event will be donated to the Rehoboth Parks Commission to help build the planned playground at Nike Park.
Admission is $5. per person, children under the age of 12 FREE.
The fun begins at 9 a.m. hope to see you there!
