Training
When you ride at High Hickory, you learn Classical Dressage under the highest standards, taught by accomplished and renowned Advanced Licensed Instructor, Pepper Mainwaring-Healey.  A true riding master, she approaches riding as a philosophy and an art...not just a sport.

Private Lessons
Private lessons means private: no hangers-on, "kibitzers" or spectators.  At High Hickory, the focus is on you throughout your mounted and unmounted lessons in Classical Dressage.  Lessons are not "by the clock."  Pepper respects and works around your adult, family and professional obligations. You'll head for lessons with eagerness, study with concentration and pleasure and leave stimulated, impatient to return.

Pepper wants you to learn...and learning means hard work.  At the same time, you'll have fun and satisfaction.  Her motto is: Fun With Safety...and for those who want it, a little bit of glory, too! She teaches women of all shapes, sizes and abilities...from those who want to excel in high-level competition to those who must "start from scratch" and learn basic horsemanship from the ground up.

Pepper values the woman, whatever her age, who works hard to fulfill her dream of horses in her life as much as the student fortunate enough to enjoy equestrian extras - as long as each is dedicated to the joy of learning with kindness to the horse.

Student achievements over the decades attest to her success.   Pepper's students who do compete under her coaching will tell you they're always in the ribbons.

Facilities
High Hickory offers you an indoor arena, 10 stall stables, video analysis, working student programs and classes in dressage at all levels.  Beloved FEI through Grand Prix Schoolmasters are safe, sane and sound.  Learn on High Hickory Schoolmasters, or improve your own horse as well as your riding.

Pepper notes, "It's always been High Hickory Farm (Framingham, Mass) and since 1985, High Hickory North (Langdon, NH) as well.  Now it's just High Hickory Dressage Farm in New Hampshire."

Completing an interrupted move, Pepper's still unpacking tack chests and staking out paddocks in expanded facilities. "High Hickory is my home, not a commercial stable. It's great not to be split between two beloved farms and two states," Pepper says, "and to have all my family of horses in one place."

As always, teaching is on-going...and Pepper looks forward to welcoming new students as well as old.
